Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Vice President - Operations to join our Florida-based team. This is a pivotal leadership role within a well-established organization specializing in T&D (Transmission and Distribution), Substation, and Underground construction. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in these areas and will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, expanding our client base, and positioning the company for future growth.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Develop and execute strategies to expand the company’s portfolio into Substation, Transmission Line, and Underground construction.
• Collaborate with the existing leadership team to ensure a seamless transition of responsibilities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, and identify opportunities for business growth.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the regional team, fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and innovation.
• Partner with the financial and back-office teams to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.
• Represent the company in industry forums and with key stakeholders to enhance its reputation and market presence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in T&D, Substation, and Underground construction, with a strong understanding of the industry landscape.
• Demonstrated success in leading and growing operations, with a track record of achieving business development goals.
• Familiarity with major local/regional utilities is highly desirable.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering results.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Day-to-Day

• Lead and manage field operations, ensuring seamless execution of projects.
• Collaborate with the Director and other key team members to align on operational goals and strategies.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s service offerings.
• Monitor project performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
• Provide regular updates to the leadership team on operational performance and growth initiatives.
