General Superintendent – Transmission or Substation (2 Openings)

Location: Nationwide Travel (U.S.)
Salary: Up to $175,000 Base + Project-Based Bonuses + Comprehensive Benefits

We're partnered with a leading electrical utility contractor seeking two General Superintendents to support the delivery of major Transmission and Substation construction projects across the United States.

These are high-impact leadership roles responsible for overseeing field operations on large-scale utility infrastructure projects. Whether your expertise lies in Transmission or Substation construction, you'll play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall field leadership for large Transmission or Substation construction projects.
  • Oversee Superintendents, General Foremen, Foremen, and craft personnel across multiple project sites.
  • Ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Coordinate daily construction activities, manpower, equipment, subcontractors, and materials.
  • Work closely with Project Management to develop execution plans and recovery strategies where required.
  • Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and quality control reviews.
  • Drive productivity while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, inspectors, and utility representatives.
  • Mentor and develop field leadership teams to support future growth.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and client-specific requirements.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of field leadership experience within electrical utility construction.
  • Extensive experience managing Transmission or Substation construction projects.
  • Proven ability to lead large field teams across complex utility projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, productivity, and resource planning.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide and work on projects throughout the United States.
  • OSHA certifications and relevant utility safety training are highly desirable.
