Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Construction Coordinator to join our team. This role involves overseeing Transmission Line and Substation construction projects and ensuring they are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant standards. The successful candidate will report directly to a major utility company in the region and play a critical role in the successful delivery of key infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all aspects of Transmission Line and Substation construction projects.
• Ensure construction activities are performed in compliance with safety regulations, project specifications, and timelines.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the construction team and the utility company.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to maintain project schedules.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to design specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams, leveraging prior hands-on experience.
• Prepare and submit detailed progress reports to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other project personnel to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10+ years of experience in construction, including prior hands-on experience "on the tools."
• Proven expertise in Transmission Line and Substation construction oversight.
• Strong understanding of construction safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel regionally as required.

Day-to-Day

• Conduct daily site visits to monitor construction progress and address any on-site challenges.
• Coordinate with contractors and utility representatives to ensure alignment on project goals.
• Review and approve construction plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
• Provide hands-on support and guidance to construction teams when necessary.
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards and within the agreed-upon timelines.
• Prepare and present daily or weekly updates to the utility company and other stakeholders.
